Tim Myrick Watercolors Win Awards

TWO Tim Myrick Watercolors Win Awards in Juried Competitions.

CLEVELAND, OH. November 18, 2010:  Two original watercolors by Tim Myrick won awards in different prestigious competitions:

Coventry Street Depot

Coventry Street Depot

“Coventry Street Depot” was the recipient of the AMPERSAND AQUABORD AWARD in the North East Watercolor Society’s 34th Annual International Juried Exhibition 2010, which took place at the Gallery at the Kent Art Association in Kent, CT, through November 7, 2010.  The landscape, featuring the RTA station at Shaker Boulevard and Coventry Road in the Shaker Square area of Cleveland, Ohio, captures the luminous early-morning light.

A Peek at the Past

A Peek at the Past

“A Peek at the Past”  was the recipient of the 3rd Place Award in the 22nd Annual Art in Gadsden Exhibition, November 2010. It will be on display at the Gadsden Arts Center in Quincy, Florida [greater Tallahassee area] through December 2010. As with many of his works, the old barn which is barely standing, is reminiscent of Mr. Myrick’s childhood in the Florida panhandle, where, as a youngster in the 1960’s and 70’s,  he and other members of his family often worked in the tobacco fields.
