Introducing Rhapsody in Blue
Excerpt from the Artist's Story
As I retreated to shade for a much-needed break, a hummingbird zipped to within a few feet of me and just stopped in midair—displaying its beautiful colors and incredible flying skills. Then, just as suddenly, It got back to the job at hand — collecting nectar from a nearby display of vibrant blue morning glories. It’s the magic and emotion of that moment that I strived to capture in this watercolor.
Rhapsody in Blue is one of a number of nature-themed original watercolors to be featured in my upcoming solo exhibit. Titled "Immersed in Nature", the exhibit opens September 26, 2026 at the Cleveland Botanical Garden's Orientation Gallery. More details to follow.
