It warms my Heart . . .
Yes it is in the eye of the beholder, and not everyone is nostalgic for winter weather. But it truly does warm my heart when a visitor to the exhibit says my paintings reminds him of his home, which happens to be in Canada. The snowy subject of these companion paintings is Doans Brook in the greater Cleveland area. The temperature on that day was barely above zero - the kind of weather when your nose tries to freeze shut. My challenge was to capture that frigid atmosphere in watercolor.
These two paintings are among 16 original works in my solo exhibit titled "Immersed in Nature" through November 8, 2026 at the Cleveland Botanical Garden's Orientation Gallery. A number of them are available to add to Your collection or as a gift* for that special someone.
*Note: When you purchase artwork from the exhibit, a substantial portion of the sale is dedicated to the Botanical Garden's budget to support their many meaningful and educational programs.
