Artist's Story

We lived near this iconic vintage rapid transit station a few years ago. On early mornings, as I walked our dogs along the grass that bordered the tracks, I was amazed by the always changing atmosphere. On one particular day, it had been softly raining and everything was shrouded in a soft gray aura. It was unique and in sharp contrast to the typical atmosphere. As I watched the commuters who daily crossed these tracks to wait for the train at the shelter, what I found most striking was the shimmering light reflected in the rain. The way the various color signal lights reflected onto the railroad tracks and the mostly-naked trees made the scene so atmospheric and mystical that I had to paint it.

Each original is packaged for shipping according to size. In most cases. they are shipped flat, sandwiched between rigid panels, and sealed in a waterproof mailing envelope. If rolling is necessary, your artwork will be shipped in a high quality tube selected to protect it in transit.
