Reclamation

Reclamation- my latest watercolor - captures sunlight filtering through native foliage to reveal an array of bronze and copper reflections.

The beauty of the scene was extraordinary. As nature consumed the antique Chevy truck, a variety of native foliage cast soft shadows over the colorful façade. Lizards scampered in every direction, claiming it as their own.

Over a number of weeks in the studio, I also began to think about the interplay of humans and nature… the inevitable reclamation. - Tim Myrick, artist
